EASY ACCESS BY PLANE
Gdańsk airport is located only 12 km from the city center, the conference place.
The international Lech Walesa Airport is named after the former Polish President and the founder of the Solidarity movement, who played a significant role in ending communist rule in Poland. The airport is about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) northwest of Gdańsk city center and is a hub for several airlines, including LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Wizzair, and Ryanair. It has two passenger terminals, Terminal T1 and Terminal T2, which handle domestic and international flights.

There are several transportation options available for traveling from Gdańsk airport to the city center:
- Bus: the airport is served by several bus lines connecting to different city parts. Bus stops are located just outside the airport terminals. The most popular and convenient bus is line 210, which takes passengers directly to Gdańsk's central train station in the city center (the cost of the ticket is around 5 PLN= 1 EUR)
- Taxi: taxis are available at the airport 24/7. They are located just outside the arrivals terminal. Agree on the fare with the driver before getting in the taxi (the cost of the lift is around 50 PLN= 10 EUR)
- Train: the airport has a train station just a short walk from the terminal building. Trains run frequently and connect to the Gdańsk central train station in the city center (the cost of the ticket is around 5 PLN= 1 EUR)
- Car rental: Several car rental companies have desks inside the airport terminal, making renting and driving to the city center easy.
Transportation from Gdańsk airport to the city center is convenient and efficient, with several options depending on your preference and budget. You will also find tramways in the city center, an efficient way to commute during rush hours.
